When a customer searches for a service in their area, map results often appear before any website. Your Google Business Profile is your gateway to these results.
1. Create and verify your profile
Search for your business on Google or create it from the Google Business Profile page, then complete verification. An unverified profile won’t appear fully.
2. Choose the right category
The primary category is one of the most important visibility factors. Choose the most accurate category for your business, then add relevant secondary categories.
3. Consistent information everywhere
Your name, address and phone number must match exactly what appears on your website and social media pages.
4. Complete every detail
Opening hours, services, business description and website link — the more complete your profile, the more likely it is to appear.
5. Real, recent photos
Add photos of your location, team and work, and keep them updated.
6. Request and respond to reviews
Encourage satisfied customers to leave reviews, and respond professionally to every review, including negative ones.
7. Post regular updates
Use posts to announce offers and news — they appear directly to customers on your profile.
